Moving to Naples

Cost of living

This page does not publish a monthly budget for Naples. The figures that are stable enough to cite are tax rules and insurance mechanics, and even those need a quote for a specific house.

What you can check without a guess

  • Personal income tax: none at the state level. Florida Department of Revenue.
  • Property tax and homestead rules depend on the house and whether you claim Florida residency. The Collier County Property Appraiser is the office that has the assessment. This page does not quote a millage rate.
  • Wind-mitigation discounts exist in Florida law. Insurers must offer credits for features that reduce wind loss, documented on the state uniform inspection form (OIR-B1-1802, updated effective April 1, 2026, valid up to five years if nothing material changes). Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.
  • Sale prices, HOA dues, and golf fees are left off this page on purpose. A realtor or the club can quote them.
