Getting to Naples from RSW Airport

Southwest Florida International (RSW) is the primary airport serving Naples, located 35 miles north (about 40-50 min drive).

Your Options

1. Rental Car (Best for Most)

Why: Naples is spread out. A car gives you freedom. Cost: ~$40-80/day depending on season. Tip: All major companies at RSW. Book ahead in winter. Pro: Explore day trips, park at beaches, no Uber surge.

2. Uber/Lyft

Cost: ~$40-60 to downtown Naples. Time: 40-50 min (depending on traffic). Tip: Request at the rideshare pickup area on the lower level. Warning: Do NOT take a taxi—often $100+.

3. Private Shuttle / Town Car

Cost: ~$75-120 for private sedan. Companies: Naples Express, A1 Shuttle, Checker Cab. Best For: Larger groups, celebrities avoiding Uber.

4. Hotel Shuttle

Some resorts (Ritz-Carlton, Naples Grande) offer airport transfers. Ask: When booking your room.

Traffic Tips

  • I-75 South is the main route. Usually smooth.
  • Rush Hour: 8-9 AM, 4-6 PM. Add 15-20 min.
  • Season: Jan-Mar traffic is heavier everywhere.

Verified Local Expert Tip

Best Value: If staying 5+ days, rent a car. If staying 1-3 days in downtown Naples only, Uber works.
